Vinyl Products

Vinyl flooring options have been getting more and more popular and for a good reason.  There are many different qualities of vinyl flooring and many are very durable.  Vinyl is also an easily maintained and cleaned product.  Some of the different types of vinyl flooring available today are sheet vinyl, luxury vinyl tile, engineered vinyl planks, and vinyl composition tile. Many people think that vinyl flooring is more comfortable than other types of flooring.  It is typically warmer and softer to walk on.

Sheet Vinyl:  There are several different sizes of sheet vinyl available.  The most common size is 12 foot wide, but 6 foot and 13 foot 2 inch is also available with some manufacturers.  Sheet vinyl is easily cleaned and your most water proof flooring.  There are several different types of backing available; paper back, fiberglass back, and cushion back products.  Paper backed sheet vinyl is being phased out and is not as user friendly to install.  Cushion back sheet vinyl offers a more comfortable surface to walk on while fiberglass backing offers great durability.

Luxury Vinyl Tile:  Luxury vinyl tile is growing in popularity due to the comfort and how realistic it looks.  You can get wood designs or tile designs.  Most manufacturers offer 12"x12", 16"x16", and 12"x24".  Some manufacturers also offer many other sizes including hexagon shape.  Tile look luxury vinyl tile can be installed with or without grout.  The grout is an acrylic grout which is stain resistant which makes it low maintenance compared to ceramic tile.

Engineered Vinyl Plank: Engineered vinyl plank is a vinyl product resembling laminate.  It is a floating floor and can be installed with or with out pad.  Being a vinyl product, this is a great choice for bathrooms, kitchens, or any area where water is a concern.

Vinyl Composition Tile: VCT is most commonly used in commercial buildings but could be used in a residential setting as well.  This is one of the least expensive types of vinyl flooring but is very durable.  VCT is easy to maintain but does require occasional waxing.
